Course Description:
In addition to providing the nationally recognized Advancing Youth Development (AYD) training, the Montgomery County Collaboration Council is proud to offer the Youth Program Quality Tool (YPQT) Training. This full-day training focuses on explaining the importance of evaluating youth programming and teaching youth practitioners to use the YPQT. The tool, customized for Montgomery County’s afterschool and Out-of-School Time (OST) programs, is designed to assess program quality across five key domains: program structure, program content, safe environment, supportive environment, and interaction and engagement.
What Will Participants Learn?
The YPQT Training will give participants the necessary tools and skills to assess the quality of youth programming, summarize key insights and recommendations, and conduct follow-up meetings to set improvement plans.
Who Should Sign Up?
This professional development opportunity is for youth development practitioners, executive directors, and other staff who work with youth in schools, youth-serving community organizations, and agencies in Montgomery County, MD.
