Naloxone Training June 6th, 2017

Naloxone is a prescription medication that reverses the affects of an opioid overdose. Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate for the use of Naloxone and a FREE Naloxone kit. Tips on overdose prevention and resources detailing local and national resources will also be provided to participants. Click on the flyer for more details. Excel Beyond the Bell Overview

The Collaboration Council leads Excel Beyond the Bell (EBB), the County’s initiative to create a local out-of-school time (OST) system that will increase the number of quality programs promoting positive youth development, especially in our most vulnerable communities, that will inspire children and youth to achieve their full potential.

Use of Open Solicitation Process

The Collaboration Council seeks Letters of Interest from organizations and qualified individuals to serve as a pre-approved pool of potential out-of-school time vendors to serve middle school students at a particular school or schools within the Excel Beyond the Bell Middle School out-of-school time system. OS #2017-56: System of Care Expansion to Transitional Aged Youth in Montgomery County, Maryland, Trainer

The MCCC created Bridges to the Future to expand its System of Care to reach and engage disconnected transition aged youth (TAY) with or at risk of serious emotional disorders ages 16-21 through care management and intensive crisis services. Bridges to the Future seeks to develop a comprehensive communications plan that will create enduring linkages across multiple sectors for the purpose of improving service coordination, service delivery, creating youth and family advocates.


Through this Open Solicitation, the Montgomery County Collaboration Council is seeking an entity that is able to complete a needs assessment and develop a plan for targeted training. The training should be evidence based and should focus on cultural competency, trauma informed care, and developmentally appropriate provider treatment for TAY related to the SAMHSA Systems of Care grant.
